Attention VIRUS!

"As the world turns so to do our internets fill with worse and worse virus'... it seems on Feb 3rd 2006 an asian time release computer virus is to hit the web and target the following:

-Word
-PowerPoint
-Excel
-Acrobat files

The program is suppose to render spy-ware and anti-virus usless rumors on the threads belive the virus also targets the software installed for the mouse and key board, rendering them too usless. Threads show that its a common thought that this virus also is to weaken defences and allow easier access to all computers for an even worse one down the line.

The Nyxem virus on February 3 will begin deleting eleven select file types - including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Acrobat files - on infected Windows systems. Security firm Lurhq estimates over 300,000 systems have been infected by the Nyxem-E variant.

The Nyxem-E Windows virus first emerged on 16 January and has been steadily racking up victims ever since. Nyxem-E is also known as the Blackmal, MyWife, Kama Sutra, Grew and CME-24 virus.

Helpfully, the virus reports every fresh infection back to an associated website which displays the total via a counter. Late last week the counter was reporting millions of infections, but detective work by security firm Lurhq found that many of these reports were bogus.

Protection from this virus is rather simple... dont accept files...this virus will seek out IMs (instant messengers) and Email accounts, it will deliver itself
to friends lists and send itself threw any addy books to spread, its been registered as WORM, so take precautions as such.

ALSO...and MOST IMPORTANT, just by clicking on infected links, it has been desided that the virus can upload itself onto your computer by a click and with a download.
Notice. its also believed to be sent by of COARSE promisses of PORN.
